Substrates for electronics:
Aluminumtitanate (AL2TIO5) substrate
The special property of aluminum titanate (AL2TIO5) is its very good thermal shock resistance. Components made of this material can even withstand sudden temperature changes of several hundred degrees without damage, even though they have low strength.
Special features:
Excellent thermal shock resistance (0 - 1000 ° C)
Very low thermal expansion (<1x10-6 K-1 between 20 and 600 ° C)
High thermal insulation (1.5 W / mK)
Low modulus of elasticity (17 to 20 GPa)
Good chemical resistance
Poor wettability with metallic melts
The good thermal shock resistance is a result of the very low thermal expansion and a certain porosity in the structure.
Since this ceramic material is also difficult to wet with metallic melts, it is particularly suitable for use in foundry technology and melt metallurgy.
RoHS Compliant
